National
World War Two Memorial
Each Eagle, with wings and stainless steel support, weighs about 2600 pounds.
Each Eagle has about a 10 foot wing span.
Inside of each Eagle there is a support armature. Each armature is made from approximately 38 separate pieces of stainless steel.
The bronze Wreath, with bronze and stainless steel ribbons, weighs about 3500 pounds.
Each bronze and stainless steel column weighs about 5500 pounds.
Each statue when completely assembled will weigh about 18 Tons!
That is just about what 10 luxury cars weigh.
Of course there are two statues, one each, inside the Atlantic and Pacific Pavilions, bringing the total weight close to 36 tons.

- At Newport -
All finished!
All of our people returned from Washington D.C. Wednesday.
The team put in a lot of hours, including one day I'm told that lasted from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m.
They came home tired but satisfied at both a job well done and the honor of working on this project.
We were told that our people at one point, had around 50 or so photographers snapping photos.
The photographers were so plentiful that they occasionally had to stop to let them all take their pictures.
Still waiting for the photos so please be patient. I will post a note here when the new photos are posted in the pictures area.

The wreath is being fit up to the Eagles today.
Welding should take place late today and tomorrow.
For those of us not able to be in D.C., we are being told the Eagles look really great with the Washington Monument in the background!
